New Haven Clock Co., New Haven, Conn., "Thoreau" crystal regulator shelf clock with a spring driven, 8 days, time and hour/half-hour strike movement, c1911. The top and base of the clock have been refinished or repainted. The gold plate on the brass doors and side posts is worn in spots. The porcelain dial has a hairline crack at the numeral 3. The hands are original. Ht 15 1/4".
