Atkins Clock Co., Bristol, Conn "Drop Octagon" wall clock in a rosewood case with a spring driven, 8 days, time & strike movement, c1863. The case is in excellent condition and retains its original finish, The original painted dial is flaking between the winding holes and at the dial edge. The hands are original. The upper door glass is original and the lower black and gilt tablet is original and in very good condition. The movement, while unsigned, is correct for this model. The lower door knob is bone. The bezel latch knob is a modern replacement, Ht 24 1/2".
