Birge, Peck & Co., Bristol, Conn., triple decker shelf clock with a mahogany case, gilt column caps, splat and front feet with a weight driven, 8 day, time and strike, strap brass movement, c1850. The case retains its original finish. The gilt front feet, decorated columns with gilt caps and the gilt splat retain a nice original surface. The gilt center column has wear on the front side. The splat has a small piece missing on the lower left side. The dial has been repainted, but hands are original. The lower and center door tablets are original, colorful and in excellent condition. Ht.35 1/2".
