Welch, Spring & Co., Forestville, Conn., "Cary, V.P." 8 days, time and strike, spring driven brass movement shelf clock with alterations, c1880 Original rosewood and rosewood veneered case with original finish with a little damage to left curved piece on the crest, the left ear on the crest and one ball is missing the same curved piece. The brass dial pan is a modern replacement. The present movement is not a "Patti" movement and the hands are not the proper style. The tablet and Welch-style pendulum are modern.
