Poissonniere, Paris, large cast brass mantel clock, 8 days movement with count wheel and bell striking, c1880 the large heavy ornate case has some wear to the lacquer but still retains a soft glossy patina. and there are no losses or damage except for a replaced rear foot and absent rear door. The white enamel cartouche numbers and name plate are fine, as is the convex glass in the fancy cast bezel. The unsigned movement ticks and strikes, but the strike mainspring click needs attention, and the operation was not tested long term. Ht 24 1/4"
