Ansonia Clock Co., New York, NY, "Boar Hunter" bronzed spelter, on enameled iron base, 8 days, time and strike, figural mantel clock, visible escapement, c1894 the large, heavy, ornate case has been skillfully restored, with a soft patina on the castings and glossy black on the broad footed base. The enamel dial, and the beveled glass in its cast bezel, are fine. The visible pallets are steel. We note that the Ly illustration shows the clock and figure reversed on the base. The signed movement escapes and strikes but was not tested long term. Ht 15 3/4"
