There is some finish on the case but it is fairly thin. There are veneer issues on both side of the base piece. The painted dial is original with some loss at 12. The hands are original. The door tablet is original and in excellent condition. The brass pendulum bob appears to be original. The interior instructions label is in very good condition with a few abrasive marks from the pendulum. With a few veneer repairs and strengthening of the finish, this could be an outstanding example of an early Seth Thomas Regulator No. 2. Ht 34"
