Austria, 3-weight Grand Sonnerie wall clock, 8 days duration, in a longer, 72-beat/min case, with a cast bezel, c1850, with restorations. the top trim of the case was recently made by a good cabinet maker to match the style and color of the clock; it has some open grain, but is pretty good. All 6 finials are newly turned. The movement is a high quality bench made movement, on its original repaired seat board. Seat board broke at some point and has been reinforced, and needs additional attention. One thumb nut on the beat-set has been replaced. Hands are original. Pendulum bob has some small dents. Overall a good looking clock that will respond to some TLC. Ht 57"
