Ty Burtt, England, tall case clock, 8 days, time and gong strike, brass weight driven movement in an inlaid cherry case with with fret work hood, brass finials including eagle center, full turned columns flanking hood, beveled glass trunk door flanked by full columns and applied bracket base. The brass dial has silvered chapter ring, applied brass numerals, moon phase and date calendar, c1895 the case retains its original finish. Several pieces of the fretwork are absent. The moon phase is flaking and has touch up. The lower right return molding on hood has a six inch piece absent. The left trunk molding and column are a little loose. The silvered chapter ring is tarnished and begs to be resilvered. There are other nicks and scrapes, otherwise a good looking example. Ht 100" Width 22"
