Ansonia Clock Co., New York, NY, "Jupiter" crystal regulator mantel clock with visible escapement, 8 days, spring driven, time and half hour strike movement, c1914. The case retains its original finish which has aged nicely. The hands are original and the porcelain dial is in excellent condition. The four beveled glasses (two convex on the doors) and the two cut glass columns are excellent with no chips or cracks. The movement is signed and has rack and snail striking. There are some areas on the pendulum bob where the gilt finish has worn, revealing the copper base metal. Ht 17".
