This clock is an early Regulator No. 1 (early No. 2's had no seconds dial). The clock has the unsigned rectangular movement (2 5/8" by 4 1/4"). The dial is original with some flaking at the 5 numeral. The hands are original. The glass tablet is original and in excellent condition. The pendulum rod (visible bottom portion) is gilt as it should be. The embossed pendulum bob is impressed with a view of Plymouth Hollow, CT . The original Seth Thomas Plymouth Hollow label with directions indicates that the clock was sold to K. D. Sykes, a watchmaker or retailer in Manchester, England in the 1860's. This clock is an excellent example of an early Seth Thomas No. 1 Regulator. Ht 34".
