(2) No label, but likely Forestville Mfg. Co., 8 days, time, strike and alarm, spring driven brass movement ripple molding 4 column OG top Sharp Gothic or "onion top" shelf clock, c1848. (1) Rosewood veneer case under a very dark finish that looks to be original with a small veneer piece missing on the back left side block just below the finials and small damage on the back edge of the peak. Period painted dial has extra holes and scattered loss in the bottom area. Hands, while old, look to be replacements. Original tablet with minor loss. Gong has been replaced. Dark label inside the case. (2) Refinished rosewood veneered case in nice condition. Most of the label is missing. Bottom glass is clear. Period painted dial that mounts from the back is worn and looks to be original. Original hands. The dial mask is damaged.
