Germany, Black Forest "Uhrentrager" or clock peddler, the figure of polychrome painted sheet iron and in traditional dress, carrying a shield clock at his right, the clock with 30 hour pendulum timepiece, the back plate stamped "Schmutzer", Roman numeral white enamel dial and steel hands, also with another clock slung over his back with sliding front revealing a compartment for storing the key, his left hand clutching three pendulums, all mounted to wooden base, mid 19th century minor scratches and losses to paint, dirty, garter on left leg loose, legs with minor dents, front clock missing ornamental weights, bell and hammer, dial with chips and hairlines, movement missing crutch and pendulum, movement otherwise complete, rear clock also missing its bell and hammer, wooden base with splits, Ht 15"
