(2) Welch, Spring & Co., Forestville, Conn., "Cary VP", 8 days, time and strike spring brass movement shelf clock. c1880. (1) The case retains it original finish and has some veneer damage along the base. The original painted dial has significant loss at 7:00. The hands are original. The Ives-type strap brass movement is unsigned. All three door glasses are original, but the center glass is cracked. The lower glass is like a Fenn glass. The weights are absent. Ht. 32.25". (2) Rosewood and rosewood veneered case in original finish. The case is in need of restoration - needing a dial, the various round turnings on the crest. Original tablet with minor loss and original pendulum. Partial label on the back of the case. Ht. 20".
