the case has been professionally refinished. The gargoyle carving has a small piece missing and its nose has been restored. A 2" portion of the upper right rear carving has been replaced. The clock is absent one of the three pulleys and the pendulum has been replaced and has a bob that is undersized. Three of the tubes are marked "HARRINGTON PATENT" with a trademark stamp. The dial is in good condition. An impressive clock.

Tall case clock retailed by G.W. Russell, Philadelphia, 8 days, time, strike and chime on 5 tubes, three brass weight driven movement in an ornately carved oak case attributed to R.J. Horner, New York with gargoyle top, fluted and turned corner columns topped by Corinthian capitals on hood, cut out frets, beveled glass doors, carved corner columns, two raised panels on each side, resting on a base with checkerboard panels on sides and front on huge furry paw feet. The engraved brass dial has applied corner spandrels, silvered chapter and second's rings and moon phase. the case has been professionally refinished. The gargoyle carving has a small piece missing and its nose has been restored. A 2" portion of the upper right rear carving has been replaced. The clock is absent one of the three pulleys and the pendulum has been replaced and has a bob that is undersized. Three of the tubes are marked "HARRINGTON PATENT" with a trademark stamp.
