Ansonia Clock Co., New York, NY, "Dispatch", 8 day, time and strike spring brass movement wall clock. Ebonized case with gilt incised lines and reeded molding in original finish has some wear on the case corners. Most of the gilding on the reeded molding is intact. The bottom front piece has been broken and repaired in the center area. Finials on the top crest are missing. Original paper dial has age darkened with wear and abrasion. Original hands and tablet. Nice label on back of case. This example has a standard pendulum, where as the catalog shows a fancier variety. The clock was exported to England and may have been sent there with the standard bob.
