Vosburgh & Co., New York, 8 day, time and strike spring brass movement drop octagon wall clock. c1855 (1) Refinished mahogany and mixed woods case in need of repair. The case bottom has separated and will need attention along with the door bottom. The left front and side piece that makes up the frame for the door are cracked at the end. Original dial pan now has a paper dial. Original hands and pendulum. Ht 32" (2) Rosewood veneered case is clean in an old and possibly original finish has a little lifting of the veneer just above the bottom door. Original painted dial has some loss at the mounting screws and little wear. Hour hand is original. Minute hand is a replacement. Original movement looks to be by the New Haven Clock Co. Original tablet has some loss. Original cast side pieces. Clean label inside the case. Ht 24.5"
