the solid wood case has been stripped and nicely refinished. There are empty holes on the front, side and bottom of the case, indicating that there was a recording mechanism in the base, unrelated to the timekeeping function. One side glass panel is cracked; the other glasses are fine. The painted metal dial, with lots of text, has losses and some poor inpainting. The movement, with chain-driven fusee, ticks briskly. Ht 29 in
