Several different clock companies made this model but this case appears to most closely resemble Ansonia's "Monarch". The dial and bezel are definitely Ansonia. The movement is a signed E. N. Welch, Forestville, Conn and appears to be original to this case. Tran duy Ly's Welch book indicates that such cases may be found with Welch movements, so this is not necessarily an incorrect clock. The case has been refinished and is now a very light walnut color with a high gloss finish. The paper dial is original and in nice condition with some age darkening, The hands are period. The stenciled door glass is original. The pendulum rod is a replacement and will need to be cut down to fit properly.
