case with losses, splits, and repairs, tracery at top of right side missing, left side with partial loss, some merlon moldings missing, some replaced, tops of turrets missing, dial with split, hands may be replaced, minute with repair, case back with reinforcement of fretwork at bottom, movement dirty, complete and functional, musical portion needs work, makes a bit of sound, but the bellows are leaking, and also missing two tin pipes, trumpeters dirty, one missing his horn, weights missing (weights shown were for purposes of photograph, not included with clock). Trompeteruhren, or Trumpeter Clock, attributed to Emilian Wehrle, Germany, the ebonized, architectural case of Gothic design, with crenellated parapet, the front of which is adorned with applied rustic vine carving, the dial, doors, and base with various pierced, foil carvings, and with columns at the corners, case sides with pierced, arched access doors, Roman numeral wooden dial with blind, geometric, foil fret, pierced bone hands, three train, weight driven movement with wooden plates and brass wheels, and carved wooden pendulum, also with blind fret carving, music played on 6 pipes, the trumpeters emerging from behind the doors at the hour to play a tune case with losses, splits, and repairs, tracery at top of right side missing, left side with partial loss, some merlon moldings missing, some replaced, tops of turrets missing, dial with split, hands may be replaced, minute with repair, case back with reinforcement of fretwork at bottom, movement dirty, complete and functional, musical portion needs work, makes a bit of sound, but the bellows are leaking, and also missing two tin pipes, trumpeters dirty, one missing his horn, weights missing (weights shown were for purposes of photograph, not included with clock).
