E. Howard & Co., Boston, Mass., "Regulator No. 58" wall hanging clock with a weight driven 8 day timepiece movement in a cherry case. This is the 8 inch dial version of the No. 58. The cherry case retains its original finish and is in very nice condition. The recessed panels on the case sides are convex. The dial has an unusual wooden bezel. The original painted dial with signature is in very good condition with minor inpainting in several areas. The hands are original. The pendulum bob is nicely damascened and the pendulum tie down block and screw are intact. The door glass is a later replacement. The signed movement shows that this is a number 5 movement.
