Baird & Co., Plattsburgh, New York, "Beecham's Pills", 8 day, spring brass movement advertising timepiece. (3) British Advertising (Fitu Corsets) wall hanging clock with a spring driven 8 day timepiece movement in a softwood case. The movement is signed "British United Clock Co. Ltd., Birmingham, England". (1) Paper mache in rough shape. Both bezel are rough and have cracks and rough edges. Someone has tried to paint the raised letters. No dial. Movement by Laporte Hubbell. Ht 31" (2) Paper mache case is worn with most of the paint on the lettering worn off. Original paper dial has extra holes is soiled and stained. Missing hands. Proper Seth Thomas movement in the case. Ht 31" (3) The case's finish has been completely removed. The painted dial (possibly repainted) is in good condition. The hands are period. The door mirror is also period. Ht. 36in.
