Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., Modified Regulator No. 3 wall clock. This clock apparently started life as a Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., "Regulator No. 3" (from the 1880 period) which was a weight driven 8 day timepiece or striking clock. The case was cut down reducing its height by about 10". The original movement was removed, leaving the old mounting holes, and replaced by a Seth Thomas spring-driven 30 day time only movement. The dial was modified to accommodate the newer movement and has "B&ORR" painted on it. The pendulum rod, bob and Regulator tablet are modern. It retains original hands for the Regulator No. 3. The resulting clock is an interesting and attractive.
