Gilbert Clock Co., Winsted, Conn., "Hanging Regulator No. 8" jeweler's regulator wall clock, 8 day, time only, brass weight driven movement in a walnut case with burled walnut panel and Jenny Lind top with a white enamel dial the case has been refinished, but is in otherwise excellent condition. The dial has one light hairline between 9 and 10. We have never sold an example of Gilbert's No. 8 Regulator Hanging. There is an excellent original label in the rear of the case. The most similar example we can find in our database is a No. 8 Standing we sold in April 2001, which brought $12,200 plus 10% Buyer's Premium.
