Waltham Watch Co., Waltham, Mass., 8 day weight driven time only banjo wall clock, stamped movement numbered 9451, c1920 the throat glass has been properly repainted by Tom Moberg and does not quite fit lengthwise, but this can be remedied by removing a bit of wood from inside the frame. The mahogany case, with its rope-twist moldings, has an old dark finish, and the lower Mount Vernon glass appears original. The weight has extra metal attached to its bottom. The brasses retain an old patina. The bezel's convex glass is newer, and the dial has some paint losses near the 5 and 7. The brass weight cable has parted, and the movement appears complete but was not tested. Ht 40.5 in.
