overall excellent, as-found condition, with nice patina on polished red brass casing. Original silvered dial is excellent, with only minor wear to retailer's name. The case bears serial number 71,117, while the movement bears a service replacement movement with different number from the same period. Hands are original, and mahogany baseboard retains original baseboard, with original lacquer nicely polished. Of note, the original reflector ring is intact. We checked with Chelsea, and their sales ledger indicates the clock was sold to E. P. Roberts Co. on December 16, 1910, as a 10 inch Special dial, B&B [base and ball] with ship's bell movement.
