Ephraim Downs, Bristol, Conn 30 hour, time and strike weight wood movement pillar & scroll shelf clock. Partially refinished mahogany and mahogany veneered case in nice condition. Original top. The feet may have been replaced or repaired as the glue blocks are new. Period dial has wear to some of the numbers, some loss to the applied gesso and paint loss in the center. It has turned dark from a coating of varnish or shellac. Original tablet has been heavily restored. Original hands. Finials are modern.
