Grohe, a Paris, a three part, rococo style porcelain mantel clock with case by Jacob Petit, the clock and stand both decorated with molded and brightly painted naturalistic ornament, highlighted by bright gilding, all resting on a velvet lined, carved, gilt wooden base, signed Roman numeral white enamel dial, blued steel Breguet style hands, 8 day time and strike pendule de Paris movement with silk thread suspension, stand marked "JP", dial and movement signed porcelain very good, a bit dirty, but without chips or significant wear, retains the original wooden locating / stabilizing pins for the clock and stand, wooden base with minor splits and loss to gesso and gilding, dial with hairlines and chip at left winding arbor, hands with minor oxidation, movement very dirty, ticks and strikes, needs service, pendulum replaced.
