the case has handsome lines and has been refinished. The side lights are missing the glasses. There are age splits in the left side of the hood and repairs on the upper right corner of trunk door and lower right corner of hood door. The two upper capitals on the columns flanking hood door are replaced. The center finial is absent. The movement and case are associated. The weights and pendulum are period. The painting on the rocking ship dial and background is crude, not period and darkening. The hands are proper style for the period.
