France, desk clock, 8 day timepiece with balance wheel movement and directional compass on a brass base supporting an octagonal case on four feet, topped with a handle, c1900. brass case is tarnished, but in good condition Front beveled glass is fine, but smaller one covering the compass is broken with a piece missing. Silvered dials are in good condition and hands are original. Compass needle does not move. Movement ticks briskly, but was not tested long term.
