Clocks- 2 (Two) Boston Clock Co., Boston, Mass. mantel: (1) 8 day, time and strike, tandem wind balance wheel rack strike movement in black slate case with red marble insets and incised gold accents, c1890; (2) 8 day, time and strike, tandem wind balance wheel rack strike movement in white onyx case with applied metal accents and fancy dial, c1890. (1) This heavy case is in remarkably good condition with just a few tiny edge chips. The cream porcelain dial has one crack around the number 11. The beveled glass is fine. The clock strikes but does not tick; (2) White onyx case is in good condition with very few small edge chips. The cream colored porcelain dial with raised white numbers is nearly pristine, as is the thick beveled glass. The movement strikes, but will need service. Circular rear door is missing. Fragile and heavy for shipping. Dimensions provided are for white onyx clock. Sold "as is".
