Clocks- 3 (Three) Black Mantel: (1) French, mantel clock, time only, spring driven movement in a black slate case with gray marble insets, c1880; (2) Ansonia Clock Co., NY, "Boston Extra" mantel clock, 8 day time and strike, spring driven movement in a black enameled iron case with applied gilt ornaments and fancy dial, c1904; (3) Ansonia Clock Co., NY, "Calais" mantel clock, 8 day time and strike, spring driven movement in a black enameled iron case with applied gilt trimmings and verde bronze fluted columns, c1904. (1) The black slate case is complete but the surface is cloudy. Porcelain dial, beveled glass and hands are in good condition. Pendulum is absent. The movement ticks, but was not tested long term. Ht 10in; (2) Case is in good overall condition with some chips to the black enamel finish on some edges. The dial is a new paper replacement. The clock ticks and strikes, but was not tested long term. Ht 11.5 in; (3) Case, dial, and hands are in good condition. The clock suffers from a sloppy paint job on the applied gold ornaments. The clock ticks and strikes, but was not tested long term. Dimensions provided are for the "Boston Extra". All clocks sold "as is".
