Clocks- 2 (Two): (1) Townsend, 23 John St., New York, 4 Column shelf clock with a 30 hour weight driven time and strike movement (Terry & Andrews, Bristol, Conn.) in a NY Style case of mahogany and rosewood veneer, c1845; (2) Sperry & Shaw, 10 Courtlandt St., New York, 4 Column shelf clock with a 30 hour weight driven movement in a NY style case of rosewood veneer and grain painted columns, c1845. (1) The case has been refinished. There is minor veneer loss and damage in several areas. The wooden dial has a horizontal crack on the left hand side. The hands are original. The movement is signed. The door glasses are original; (2) The case retains its original finish. The original painted dial shows some discoloration. The hands are period and likely original. The door glasses are period but may have been out at some point.
