Steeple clock with a spring (brass) driven 30 hour time and strike movement in a rosewood and mahogany veneered case, c1850; (2) Brewster & Ingrahams, Bristol, Conn. Steeple clock with a spring driven, 8 day, time and strike movement in a mahogany veneered case, c1850. (1) The case has been refinished and is in very nice condition with no veneer loss. The dial has been repainted. The hands, correct in style, are of a later period. The top door glass has age. The bottom tablet is a nicely done proper replacement; (2) The case has been nicely refinished and shows no veneer damage. The original painted dial has restoration. The hands are original. The movement still retains one original brass spring. The upper door glass is a replacement and the lower tablet is a proper style nicely done replacement. Note: The dimensions are for clock number 2.
