Forestville Manufacturing Co., (J. C. Brown), 8 day, time and strike, weight driven brass movement column & cornice shelf clock. Mahogany and mahogany veneer case in an old finish has veneer loss on the base, small chip just below the left column and on the edge of the cornice. The side stiles that support the dial and movement have been replaced with plywood. The movement seat board is new. Gong looks replaced. Painted dial has had the numbers strengthened. Nice original tablets. This case from the quality of the veneer looks to be a J. C. Brown product, but someone has taken a Forestville backboard from another clock and put it in this case over the top of what looks to be the original backboard.
