Black Mantel: (1) 8 day spring driven movement with single arbor winding time and strike brass lever movement in black slate case with red marble accents, c1890; (2) 8 day spring driven movement with single arbor winding time and strike brass lever movement in black slate case, c1890. (1) Slate case is in very good condition as are the dial and hands. Beveled glass as a small chip on the edge. Movement is signed. Rear spring barrel is numbered "8991 S "; (2) Case is in very good condition. Beveled glass and hands appear to be original. There is a small chip in the top of the porcelain dial. Movement is signed. The rear spring barrel is numbered "3756 S". Both movements tick and strike, but were not tested long term.
