French figural, 8 day, time and strike mantel clock, count wheel and bell, spring driven movement with silk thread suspension in a gilt brass and spelter case depicting a sailor figure. Nice detailed cast metal case with good gold patina and dashing figure of a sailor in front of an anchor. The sailor's axe is slightly bent and the tool that was once in his left hand is missing. The white porcelain dial has many fine hairlines on the right side. Nice original hands This case sat under a glass dome, so never had a front bezel or back door. The clock ticks and strikes, but was not tested long term.
