Gilbert Clock Co., Winsted, Conn., unidentified shelf model with a spring driven, 8 day, time and strike movement with a simple calendar mechanism in a walnut case, c1885. (1) The clock has its original finish and is in nice condition. The paper dial appears to be replaced. The hands are period. The two drop finials are missing. The pendulum is a replacement. The stenciled glass is original; (2) The case has been refinished. The original paper dial has darkened with age. The hands are original.
