The case retains its original finish and is in excellent condition. The painted dials are in very good condition with minor in-painting to cover loss at the mounting holes. The hands are original. The calendar drum papers are original and nicely aged. The movement is signed. There are several interior labels. The case is dated July, 1884 (4881G) on the case back.
