The clock chimes the quarters on 4 rods, while the hour is struck on a separate deeper toned rod. Attractive mahogany case is in excellent condition. Finish has been rubbed down and waxed. Original silvered chapter rings have small areas of brass showing through. Thick beveled door glass is fine. The rear door knob may be replaced. Hands appear original. Movement is properly signed with star and "J" trademark. The 3-train movement ticks and chimes but was not tested long term.
