English, 8 day, Regency style, inlaid mahogany, double fusee, time and strike bracket clock with painted dial and engraved back plate movement. Mahogany and mahogany veneered inlayed case in an old and possibly original finish has some dings and scratches on the base area, some veneer loss and repair on the top plinth, an age crack on the top back edge, an age crack and small repair on the back door. Original painted dial has rough areas, some loss at the winding arbors, a couple spots on the outer edge and some poor repairs to some of the numbers. Original hands. Bezel glass is broken. Brass band strip below the front door is broken near the left end. Fabric behind the side brass screens is missing. Movement is signed: "N J".
