George Cox, Carlisle, England dwarf tall clock, 8 day, time only, weight driven brass movement in a grain painted soft wood rectilinear continental case with domed top and a painted metal dial with maker's signature and date of "1839" the period movement and period case are associated, but a good fit. One finial on the domed case top is absent. The movement is a high grade English example with original dial. The hands are replacements. There is no pendulum nor weights.
