P (hilip) Barnes & Co., Bristol, Conn., 30 hour, time and strike weight wood movement half column & splat shelf clock. Mahogany and mahogany veneered case in an old finish has small chip on the base, repair on the door cross strip and at the top left chimney. Gilt and faux grained columns have some wear in the middle area. Original plaster and gilt splat has scattered wear to the gilding. Original tablet has some restoration. Clean label. Original painted dial is fairly clean for its age. Original hands. Ball feet have been regilded. A nice example of this style of case in better condition than usually found.
