France, 8 day, time and strike spring driven movement with Japy Freres "Grd Med. D'Honneur" stamp in a gilt metal case with Sevres porcelain panels. The Sevres artist portrayed Asian themes including a robed woman under cherry blossoms, a man smoking a long pipe, and a landscape with a pagoda. The heavy ornamental case retains a fairly bright finish except for a few places on the back. The upper right porcelain panel is raised slightly out of position. The light green porcelain panels are in beautiful condition. Old pendulum a replacement, works fine. The movement ticks and strikes, but was not tested long term.
