Winterhalder & Hofmeier, Schwarzenbach, Germany, 8 day double fusee Westminster chime movement in a rounded Gothic style case on bun feet, with round silvered brass dial showing Roman numerals, c1900. the case has a nice original finish with a few minor dings. Brass is showing through in several place on the silvered dial. The convex beveled glass is fine. Fusees with new nylon cord. Robust square movement with the W&H trademark chimes the quarter hours on coil gongs. Movement ticks and chimes, but was not tested long term. W & H had perfected a two train movement that could provide chimes on the quarter hours.
