William Grant, Boston, Mass., Patent or banjo timepiece, with 8 day, weight driven brass timepiece movement Refinished mahogany and gilt case in nice restored condition. Both tablets are modern replacements. The gilding on the door frames has been restored. Original painted dial has some surface rippling of what appears to be some later applied clear finish that has some yellowing. The signature looks to have been strengthened The hands look to be replacements. Movement is attached with a screw through the backboard.
