The case has been refinished and has several veneer repairs. The two bezels have lost their grain painting. The original painted dials are in very good condition with a couple of minor areas of in-painting. The hour, minute and calendar date hands are original. The day of the week and month hands have age and may be original to the clock. There is a nice Carter label inside the case with a seldom seen overpasted label of "Frisbie & Wilson, Exporters of American Clocks, 99 Chapel St., New Haven, Conn.".
