L. F. & W, W. Carter, Bristol, Conn. hanging double dial calendar clock with a spring driven, 8 day timepiece movement and B. B. Lewis perpetual calendar mechanism in a rosewood veneered case. The case has been refinished and has several veneer repairs. The two bezels have lost their grain painting. The original painted dials are in very good condition with a couple of minor areas of in-painting. The hour, minute and calendar date hands are original. The day of the week and month hands have age and may be original to the clock. There is a nice Carter label inside the case with a seldom seen overpasted label of "Frisbie & Wilson, Exporters of American Clocks, 99 Chapel St., New Haven, Conn.".
