Refinished mahogany case has some repairs on the bottom right side of the box. Gilded door and throat in nice condition. Throat tablet is original. Bottom tablet is a replacement. The dial looks to be original as the reference pins and L turns line up, but there are a couple extra holes in the head. The dial has original paint with some loss near 6 o'clock and looks to have been clear coated in the past and has now age darkened. Original hands. Movement was originally held in the case with through bolts now missing. The hook on the click for the winding barrel is sometimes seen on Simon Willard & Son banjos. Original latch on the bottom door.
