English, 8 day tall clock, time and bell strike, weight driven movement in a mixed veneer/ mahogany inlaid oak case with broken arch top set with brass rosettes and finials, flat reeded pilasters flanking door, painted arch dial with calendar and seconds hand. the case retains an old finish. There are areas of veneer splitting and lifting and an age cracks in the plinth, both sides of the hood and the broken arch on right side. The dial is in good condition but dirty with some flaking on calendar disc; a farm lady carrying sheaves of wheat depicted in arch. One weight is a replacement.
