Unsigned Roxbury style tall clock, mahogany case with typical Boston fretted hood, finials and chimneys, trunk door with string inlay, string and leaf inlaid plinth, stop fluted corner and hood columns with brass capitals, and oval inlay in base, English painted metal dial with false plate and floral / bird decorated arch and spandrels, 8 day, time and bell strike, weight driven movement the case has an old refinish and is in very good condition. There is restoration to the base and feet and the seat board is a replacement. The finials are period style replacements. The dial is in good condition with some touchup, particularly where the dial feet attach. The glass is early wavy glass on hood and the pendulum is wooden rod type, including period weights.
